Install Office 2003 through GPO. External batch file. If I can set this up to run before ANYTHING else. Is run within the MSI, that would be key. The Wine versions below are known to have regressions that affect Office 2003. Do not try to install in them:

Std11.msi Office Standard Edition 2003 Full

  • 1.3.13—current: some versions of the installer have been reported to crash immediately (bugs 26358, 31942). It is not clear what versions might be affected. See the note below for the workaround.
  • 1.3.14 through 1.3.18: standard install works fine (for installers not affected by bug 26358), but advanced customization is not possible
  • 1.3.5 through 1.3.7
