The MFJ-1278 is a TNC-2 clone with added digital communication modes but the software needed to take advantage of all the extra modes is sorely lacking for Windows and Linux. I also was never able to use the 1278's KISS mode successfully which would have allowed it to function simultaneously as an APRS digipeater and internet gateway (IGate. Jul 08, 2010 Description. are the current versions being sold by MFJ and as such will require
no upgrades. Since I have 2 1278's (yes two) and no longer use a
MS-DOS machine its time to do some shack cleaning (not to mention I
-WANT- a satellite system real bad ;-).

SV2AGW AGWTerm Packet Terminal- This program needs no other explanations because it is just a terminal program. The only difference is that it is multitasking. This means that you can have multiple connects and you can YAPP without restrictions. You can receive as many YAPPs as you wish simultaneously. If you have more than a RadioPort (You have more than a TNC) you can connect in any RadioPort. You can have also unlimited number of connections (about 100).
