A USB 2.0DVB-T device by Hauppauge.
May 09, 2009 - The 900 uses drivers 'Driver Version 5.8.26322 (HVR-9x058110726322WHQL.zip)' - The 900H uses drivers 'Driver Version 1.0.709.27051 (HVR-900H1070927051WHQL.zip)' I still have the Windows XP setup available for testing so I'll use that one for the current testing until Win7 is formally supported (got both setups available for testing). Developer's Description. This package supports the following driver models: Hauppauge WinTV 418 PVR (21xxx) Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC Combo. Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC. Using a Hauppauge WinTV HVR 900H under Linux. I recently got a Hauppauge WIN-TV HVR-900TV USB 2.0 Analogue & Digital TV Tuner in order to digitize old VHS tapes. However it doesn't work out of the box on Ubuntu Linux. You can get analog video (but not audio) working under Linux if you patch your kernel. You can use the USB extension cable (available on some models) to locate the WinTV-HVR-900 a short distance from the USB slot. Note: If you plug the device into a different USB socket, you may need to reinstall the WinTV-HVR-900 driver, but you will not need to reload any WinTV applications. 2.Installing the WinTV-HVR-900. Wintv Hvr 900h Drivers Update
No support:There is also another version with model number 357 and USB id 2040:b138. 'You need much more than just a board profile. The DVB-T demodulator in that device currently has no driver support under Linux. Hence, unless you are prepared to write a brand new driver for that DVB-T demod, adding a board profile won't be of much help.'
Also packaged as the HVR 900 has the Conexant Polaris and Silicon LabsSi2161-D-GM chips.
